What will you learn?
The Master of Science is a graduate program by research which is well recognize at both national and international levels. There are eleven fields offered in Master of Science program. Candidates are required to register several courses and conduct and independent research. A student pursuing a Master of Science may complete the program between minimum period one year and Maximum period of three years.
Application are requires to provide a brief outline of their proposed research to ensure that their research interest match the expertise of faculty members. Upon enrollment, each student will be assigned with an academic advisor, who will guide them in organizing their studies.
Eligibility
- A bachelor degree with minimum CGPA of 3.00 on a 4-point scale from institution recognized by UPM or;
- Work experience of at least 2 years if CGPA less than 3.00 or;
- Work experience of at least 5 years if CGPA less than 2.50; and
- At least pass in economics or/and quantitative courses at undergraduate level.
English Requirement
- 550 for TOEFL; or
- Band 6.0 for IELTS; or
- Level 109 for CIEP
Program Requirement:
The Master of Science of program consist of course work, Thesis and seminar.
Master’s Research
The Master of Science student is required to register (Master Research) every semester. This is a research project whereby, at the end of study period the student will submit thesis.
Master Thesis:
All MSc student must present and pass the thesis examination. The thesis will be examined and a viva voce will be conducted to determine the Students competency in the field of study. Thesis topic must be related to the area of specialization and has to approve by the thesis committee (to be appointed by UPM).
