What will you learn?
The HELP University Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) Business Information Management is a three year course. It is designed to provide a thorough understanding of the issues involved in developing and managing information systems in a contemporary business context. The degree also furnishes students with appropriate knowledge and skills to enable them to pursue a promising career in the field of managing and strategically developing effective information systems in a business environment.
Students of the programme will be equipped with a strong foundation in Information Technology encompassing programming, database systems, project management and information systems development. Additionally, they will be exposed to business concepts such as management, communication and organisational culture as part of the specialisation so that they may be able to combine their management and technical skills to effectively manage both human and technical resources for Information Systems related endeavours.
The programme is geared towards producing graduates whose roles are to plan, coordinate and design computer-related activities in order to fulfil the strategic needs of the organisations in which they are based. Graduates will be prepared for careers as System Administrators, Systems Analysts, Systems Support Executives, Management Trainees, Project Coordinators, Project Managers or Information Systems Consultants.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following Entry requirements:
HELP Foundation in Arts/ Foundation in Science
Recognized Matriculation or Foundation
At least CGPA 2.0
STPM
At least 2 Grade C
A-Level
At least 2 passes
Senior Middle 3 (UEC)
At least 3 B’s
CPU
At least 5 with a minimum average of 50%
SAM/TEE examination
At least 5 passes with a university aggregate of 50%
Mathematics / Additional Mathematics Requirements
Applicants must have one of the following Entry requirements:
SPM level or equivalent
A credit in Mathematics / Additional Mathematics
Diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent
Any other Diploma
A minimum CGPA of 2.50
Equivalent Qualification
Candidates with CGPA below 2.50 but above 2.00 with a credit in Mathematics / Additional Mathematics** at SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process.
**A credit in Additional Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent is required for the Bachelor of Computer Science (Hons) Games and Interactive Media.
English Language Requirment
International applicants will also be required to fulfil one of the following English language competencies:
• IELTS: 5.0 or
• TOEFL: 500 or
• Equivalent qualification.

HELP IT INDUSTRY SCHOLARSHIP
Together with our industry partners, HELP University is pleased to offer scholarships for all its HELP information technology (IT) undergraduate programmes. These include the Bachelor of IT (Hons); BIT (Hons) Business information Management and BIT (Hons) Mobile Computing.
These programmes have been developed in consultation with the IT industry to ensure that graduates are prepared for the requirements of practice. We offer a mix of academic and workplace learning environments. When they graduate, our students embark on exciting careers with our industry partners. The Scholarship Scheme is part of a joint effort to develop a strong core of Malaysian IT professionals with the talent, skill sets and ability to contribute meaningfully to the IT sector. Our students have opportunities to acquire industry knowledge even while studying in university.

Entry Requirements

Any one of –
Recognised Matriculation or Foundation with CGPA 2.50 (non-HELP Foundation)
2 ‘A’ Level passes with 2Bs;
AND 3 ‘O’ Level credits, including a credit in Mathematics.
At least 65% or 70% of the entry requirements. (e.g. Min entry requirements for an Indonesian student = 65%, he/she needs to achieve at least 70% to be awarded the IT Industry Scholarship).
Note: the percentage of the entry requirements varies for different countries.
2019 Intakes
January, April, May, August, October
Retention in the scholarship:
The student MUST maintain full-time enrolment & complete the programme.
The student MUST maintain > 80% attendance in lectures and tutorials for each subject.
The student MUST maintain at least CGPA 2.00 each semester.
The student MUST maintain minimum of 40 contribution hours (long semesters) & 20 contribution hours (short semesters) of his/her time to assist the faculty.
Important Note:
1. Meeting the minimum criteria does not automatically guarantee the applicant a scholarship.
2. All scholarship applications will be evaluated and short-listed by the IT Scholarship Committee, HELP University. This Committee reserves the right to revise the criteria from time to time without prior notice. Decision of the IT Scholarship Committee is final.
3. April and October intakes are ONLY applicable for those entering the programme without being granted any exemption.
